Podcast of The Day: The Mel Robbins Podcast | How To Find Your Purpose & Design the Life You Want | Jan 22 2025 | 1 hr 35 min
Why It Mattered To Me:
Gah! Two of my favorite “mentors from afar” together on one podcast. I adore these two powerful women and this episode is so RICH with practical tools and glimmering drops of wisdom you will want to grab a pen to write them down. Martha talks about stuckness and how we must become friends with it and get down in the mud with it. We need to let it balloon out and become as big as it wants so we can move beyond the impasse in our lives.BUT tune into this episode today - you will feel better, you will feel safe, you will feel sane, and you will feel super excited to imagine and create a beautiful life for yourself!
These Words Made Me Pause:
“Suffering is your ally. It will tell you everything you need, if you let it speak.”
Senses and joy that’s how you track your future. And as you track it, you create it.”
“Creativity shuts down anxiety.”
“Some psychologists set out to discover why we of all species on earth, there’s a certain portion of us who take our own lives, on purpose. No other animal does that, that we know of. And the answer to why we do that is language. Because of the way we think in language and time we can construct a future that is so painful to live with that it outweighs our fear of death- a structure made up nothing but words and thoughts can torture us until we want to die.”
- Martha Beck
Whether you’re tuning into this podcast or simply letting a few of these words sink in, I hope they spark something within you—curiosity, hope, or even the tiniest sense of possibility.
Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t!
See you tomorrow,
-Charissa
